The digital Master Test is the aptitude test g.a.s.t. added to APS India for selected Indian applicants to a German master’s from summer semester 2027. This desk is Anannt’s rehearsal of that paper: the same four crafts, the same clocks, original items. It is not an official g.a.s.t. paper.

Who this is for
India to a German master’s.
If you hold an Indian bachelor’s in engineering, commerce, accounting, finance, economics, business or management, and you are applying for a German master’s from summer semester 2027, APS India currently asks you to enclose a dMAT certificate. Winter 2026/27 is exempt. Partnership, exchange, and double-degree tracks are typically out. Standalone computer science, BCA, pharmacy, architecture and law are not automatically in: check the official affected-fields list against the title on your degree.
The dMAT does not replace APS verification, TestAS, or a university’s own requirements. A low score does not block the APS certificate. Universities may still use the number as one selection signal. Prepare the format until it is dull. That is the whole job of this desk.
The paper
Four crafts, two clocks, one sitting.
Computer-based, in English, about three and a half hours in a g.a.s.t. centre. The core module is three 25-minute subtests of 20 items each. Unused minutes do not carry. Then a break. Then the general academic module: five closed sheets, 35 questions, 90 minutes. Official live academic item count is unpublished; this is Anannt’s rehearsal load. No notes. Guessing is allowed.

Mathematical equations
A small system with a unique whole-number solution between 1 and 20. Every letter must be correct. Substitution and elimination, not calculus.

Each letter appears once per row and once per column. Deduce the highlighted cell. Harder items need an intermediate fill first.

General academic
Five closed sheets, seven questions each. A printed law, often a table, then extract, apply, and reject what you imported from your degree. This is the subject module APS India currently requires.

Why sit a rehearsal
The format is the syllabus.
The clock is the test
Twenty figure series in 25 minutes means you name the rule before you look at options. A half-right figure item is a zero. You only learn that under time.
Official shape, original items
Anannt writes harder than the sample videos: dual motions, bounce, signed sums, and academic sheets that score only what the printed page licenses. Confirm dates and field lists on d-mat.de and aps-india.de.
